Experience a taste of the Temuan culture as your hosts share with you the secrets behind the cuisine with recipes that have been taught and perfected by their families across generations. Sit and listen to Genoi, one of the eldest in the community, as she shares with you stories of her interactions with the British from a time before the formation of Malaysia and how food culture has since changed! Or explore modern adaptations with Mui Banjir and Anissa, younger members of the community with a slightly more urban tastes.
Fill your tummy with food cooked with heart and grown with love. The menu features items foraged from the nearby forests and cultivated by the community, brought together with some traditional methods of cooking that are kept alive still today. Be served a feast as you enjoy a traditional Temuan meal in a private natural surrounding, with the sound of the rushing river echoing nearby. If you’re lucky, you might also be brought to have a dip by the riverbed as you chat up your hosts!

On your Native Journey, you will be provided access to our Indigenous Tribe Hosts. These hosts will take you through the journey and will be ever willing to help you if you require it. We also provide first-aid services during the experience.
